Love All Over Me

I can only speak from what I hear in the media but to me Monica is living a different sermon than she is preaching.. A while ago, I remember Monica saying something about love and family and her boys and all of that. But Monica seems to be a lil flousy.

Even though she is not in the spotlight like other celebrities or dating high profile celebrities, her choices are similar to her lifestyle - low grade.

Currently, Monica is linked to a basketball player. I don't know his name but he is in Monica's 'Love All Over Me' video. It's been reported that they are engaged. Just before him, Monica was engaged to someone else. And before that man, she was engaged to someone else.

Since its an engagement, I can only assume that her boys has met the men that put rings on her finger. Exactly, how many men does Monica plan on parading in front of her sons. Now, I won't sit up here and type that children only turn out OK if two parents are in the home. I also won't sit up here and type that children turn out better if only one main male and one main female is in the child's life but come on... I feel that if a child is introduced to too many males/females as their live-in parent's "friend", boyfriend, fiance, etc that it will cause problems. Those children will not know anything about a stable home or a stable relationship.

If I am ever asked 'why is this world the way it is now', I would respond with one word 'parents'..

The Scott Sisters

This was just brought to my attention. Before now, I have never heard of the Scott sisters or a rally in their benefit.

Basically, the two sisters was involved in a armed robbery which yielded $11. Their actual involvement is questionable. There were three other men involved who were all given plea deals in which they only served 10 months in prison. The Scott sisters were not offered a deal and was sentenced to two life sentences among the two of them. The judge who sentenced them is known as a racist judge in Mississippi. This crime happen on Christmas Eve in 1993. Three years later, an attorney unfamiliar with the case took the case with no positive results. 15 years later, the Scott sisters are still in prison and one is suffering with kidney problems.

I have a few questions: [1] Why is this just coming to light now? [2] If both sisters had no prior criminal record, why was such a harsh sentence enforced? [3] Why weren't they given a deal? [4] What vital information is being left out?

I strongly believe that racism exist but this is ridiculous. A life sentence for stealing $11 with no injury? Of course, robbery is wrong and threatening someone with a gun is wrong but people who have done similar things have served no where near life in prison. However, I don't feel the Scott sisters should look like the victims. People just can't randomly accuse someone of something and those people can't go through a trial being completely innocent. They had some involvement in the crime, even if it was to just drive the getaway car or be the lookout.

Another question I have is why is every option being overturned? Motions were sent to the Supreme Court and they have been overturned. Applications have been submitted and they have all been denied. Why? Why are government officials ignoring this case?

There have to be more to this story than what is actually reported. But even so, serving a life sentence for armed robbery of $11 is absurd. If justice deserve to be done, I hope it is done quickly..
