Another Pet Peeve...

Those Simmons' sisters... Angela and Vanessa..

At first, yes, I used to semi-look up to Angela [since I am older than her] because of all of her accomplishments. She started her own magazine. Although I don't have any dreams of starting my own magazine, I would like to work in that industry...

I am the kind of person that I would never hate on anybody. Everybody on this earth can do anything the next one can do. Some people just have to take different paths but with perseverance and determination... AND OF COURSE GOD!!!!.. everything is possible. So, I don't hate.. I simply aspire.

With all of that said.. I think Angela is really doing her thing.. And one day I will accomplish my dreams just like she is accomplishing hers...

But anywho....

This blog's purpose is not to give shouts out to Angela.. In fact, even though I would never hate I will also never put anyone on a pedestal so this blog's purpose will never be to give shouts out to anyone..

But yeah.. Another pet peeve that I have is the way the Simmons' sisters act. They have a new show called Daddy's Girl. They had a special on TV a couple of days ago and the whole show was pretty much them giving praise to their daddy and them talking about the advice and the things that they learn from their dad.. What the hell ever....

They are trying to portray this goody too shoes image and it is quite disgusting..

No body wants to watch a show in which those two 'angels' are preaching respect, maturity, and dad's lessons... Every other word out of their mouth is daddy this and daddy that.. Grow the hell up and learn independence.. Yes, daddy should always be respected but after a while there comes a time when daddy should be your second male in your life. Daddy should not always be first..

A daddy should train a child up in the way that they should go and then let them go.. I am 25 and you will never hear me quote my daddy every time the cameras are on me... Hell if some cameras ever get on me.. I may have to do some things...lol

Anyways...

That 'angel' routine is starting to get old. They need to find some dirt on them quick!!

Blacks on TV

First... Belated -- Merry Christmas. I hope all was well..... and Happy New Year.. Blessings to you and yours..

Now.. Blacks on TV.. This is starting to bother me.. Every morning I search Yahoo! News for some interesting news stories. Today they had an article about the upcoming shows for the spring. They listed shows that will be returning after their winter break, as well as new shows for the spring.

I glanced over the list, twice, and ran across not one black sitcom or series. It was odd because The Game and Everybody Hates Chris both will return with new shows on Jan 9th, but yet the article failed to mention it. In fact, the article failed to mention any black show..

This is really starting to bother me cause about a week ago somebody on eonline did a mock CW awards show. The Game and Everybody Hates Chris [i.e. the black shows] was not among the nominees or winners. It was as if The Game and Everybody Hates Chris didn't even exist.

I am not sure what is going on with this world. You would think some of the top blacks in the entertainment industry would ban together and put more black shows on the air. You would think the top blacks in the news industry would put the word out there about black shows.

Yeah, Tyler Perry is doing it, but if you actually watch his shows... His characters are just white people with a tan. Besides AIDS and prostate cancer, Tyler's shows are filled with white story lines. [Like the way CJ handles his kids.. I mean come on now.. Where the hell is the belt? -- Don't get me wrong, Blacks are not kid beaters, but a lil discipline would be nice] And another one.. That chick Keke Palmer [from Akeelah and the Bee] have a show on Disney called True Jackson VP. Just watch one episode and you will see where I am going with this.

Just to clarify... I know for a fact the Black people are not how they are portrayed on TV. All Black people are not ghetto, uneducated, low-income, etc... But I also know that all Black people are not how they are portrayed by TP and True. And I really hope that they are not trying to say that that is how ideal Black people should act cause they are way off mark..

There used to be a few good black sitcoms, but they all went away with age.. Although I am only one person... I will try to make a difference.

Blacks should not be classified by their stereotypes.. Black people have soul, class, intelligence, and all of the above and it about time that mainstream sees it. If you go by strictly mainstream, Black sitcoms doesn't exist and the ones that does are not up to par.. That image have to be changed..

Madea Goes to Jail: the Movie

Ok.. I just seen the trailer [the REAL one; not the one with Tyler in that awful cornrow wig cracking jokes to Brown and Cora] for this movie..

Umm..... Ummmm... I don't think it will be his best..

I seen the play and LOVED it. I was dying the whole time. The movie though seems all over the place. True a lot of his other plays/movies had multi story lines but somehow, to me, it all fitted. This one, however, may be the mess up.

Ok, from what I get from it... A man, who is a public attorney, [don't know his name.... Have you ever noticed that they don't say the characters' name in the trailers.. hmm...] recently announced his engagement. While working, he runs across an old friend who he is supposed to be representing. They didn't make it clear but the girl may be a prostitute or something [played by Keyshia Knight Pulliam.. That girl is all over TP's stuff...lol] So the man tries to help her. They didn't make it clear either but I think the man and that hoe [lol] used to date in college but her life with flawed. His fiancee gets jealous [OF COURSE] and accuse the man of having feelings for the hoe [lol]. [I think so too].. So that is one story line..

Another one of course if when Madea goes to jail. I don't know, but sometimes I think Tyler goes to far.. There was this one scene that involved Madea trying to park in a parking lot but this lady cut her off and stole her spot. Madea then proceeded to get one of those big fork lifts, scoop up the lady car out the spot, and drop it in the middle of the road.. Now, I have not did nor see it all but that seems a lil far fetched... And there was this one scene where Cora was driving and this car cut in front of her. Cora had let it go but Madea couldn't so she grabbed the wheel and rammed in the back of another car. Again... the extreme...

I guess the story lines are supposed to blend when Madea and the hoe serve time at the same pen. The hoe got 17 years for whatever hoes go to jail for [indecent exposure or something]

But yeah.. I will mostly likely go see the movie but, in my opinion, I don't think it will be any good..

I am not sure but, to me, Tyler have an hit and miss shot.. I borderline hated 'Why Did I Get Married' the play, but I LOVED the movie.. I seen that movie like a hundred times and it never gets old. I LOVED 'Meet The Browns' the play, but the movie sucked. So I don't know.. I guess because I LOVED 'Madea Goes to Jail' the play, I will hate the movie..

But we'll see...

I'm not sure why Tyler doesn't update his website.. It is starting to get aggravating.. You would think I would learn all of my info from Tyler himself instead of searching the net for stuff.. His website is still not up to date about 'Meet the Browns' TV but TBS has been airing them commericals every dang day.. He really needs to get it together.. He is quick to talk about his fans and thank them for their support but yet he doesn't show any love about what's new.. I don't expect to hear about the stuff as soon as he thinks about it but you would think his fans would be one of the first to enjoy the trailer or something.. UGH!!

And one more thing [I'm just rambling now] why does Tyler Perry have to put his name on everything.. Why couldn't the TV shows be called House of Payne or Meet the Browns? Why does Tyler Perry have to be put in front of everything that he does? I mean, really, people know it is from him. He doesn't have to over advertise himself....

Anyways to view the trailer DON'T go to www.tylerperry.com cause IT IS NOT THERE.. Check it out at the link below...

Customer Reviews

Ok.. Something just now pegged in as odd.. I'm a Wii junkie [Yes, I admit...lol] So, I was looking on Best Buy website at the new fitness game for Wii, My Fitness Coach.

The game seems pretty cool. Basically, the trainer on the game serves as your exercise trainer. The trainer will give you work outs, etc..

Like I do with all products, I like to read the reviews just so I get the full picture of what everyone thinks of the game.. Now usually, the reviews are helpful, but today.... they was puzzling..

I included the reviews below.

There is only 3 reviews, but they are all similar. I questioned 'are these reviews pre-generated'? 'Do stores put fake reviews so consumers will buy the merchandise?'

At first when I was reading it, there was two sentences that stood out. After reading the same two sentences in two different reviews, I automatically assumed that it was a check box that you can select to choose that quote.. But after further reading, I realized that alot more was similar besides the quotes..

Now I am starting to question the reliability of personal reviews..

Ok, I just rambled on for a bit..

What's great about it: Adjusts to my physical abilities and it can work at any fitness levels
What's not so great: Doesn't use the Wii Balance Board
"This is great for me because I work long hours and I am in an area where it rains a lot. Maya was great at initially accessing my physical abilities and then creating workouts just for me. I can't wait to write another review about my progress in the next 30 days! Great variety of programs to work out and many levels of difficulty. Compliments the Wii Fit program well with more aerobic activity and full yoga routines built into one continuous workout. Compare to the Jullian Michael's Fitness Ultimatum, this is fantastic. No real use of controllers or balance board, but an excellent program to replace all the DVD's you may have to exercise with."

Party!!!

It's been a minute since I wrote in my blog...

I'm busy throwing my sister a slumber party.. She will be making 10 on December 26th so we are having one for her this Friday [the 19th] since the day after Christmas is usually hectic for everyone.

Anywhoo.. A slumber party is A LOT of work. Her theme is Cheetah-licious. She is in love with the Cheetah Girls. I have a lot of things planned. A karaoke/American Idol Showcase... A fashion show where each girl will have their own disposable camera so they can play paparazzi... A lot of games and arts and crafts..

There is a lot in involved in planning a slumber party. Not only do you have to plan activities for the 12 hours that they will be at your house, but you also have to feed them too... UGH!!!...lol

I am not going to lie though.. I am SOOO excited.... I will be right there singing along to them Cheetah songs. I'm taping the whole night so many years of laughs should come from this..

The whole slumber party notion was my idea.. My mom is old.. [well not old, old, but too old to have fun with 10 year olds...lol] So she said if I want my sister to have a slumber party then I will have to organize it.. So I am... It is funny but I originally said the idea in July.. haha 6 whole months prior but I really wanted her to have a slumber party for her 10th birthday..

My sister is excited, but it is wearing me out.. I have been to the store every day during lunch these part two weeks buying stuff.. [I go to the store during lunch cause after work all I think about is home. I don't have the time.. nor the patience.. to deal with lines, people pushing carts, and sold out shelves so I do all of my shopping during my lunch hour.] I still have a few more stuff to buy but I will be so happy when this weekend is over..

Other than that, my life have been pretty much boring..

Oh well.... Time to PARTY!!!!

The web we weave...

Every morning at 7:05 [central], I listen to the Strawberry Letter on the Steve Harvey Morning Show..

Now some of them letters are straight up fools.. You got letters from men, women, and children about issues ranging from everything from affairs to drugs. Confidentality is the key cause if some of those letter writers was put on blast the crime rate in America would definitely be on the rise..

This morning, the letter was like many others but with a twist..

The letter was titled 'One Night Stand'. Immediately that let you in a little on what the letter was about. The letter started to explain the basis of most one night stands, but for me it took an unexpected twist.

To sum: Lady slept with married man. Condom bust. Lady got pregnant. Lady and married man agreed to abortion. Married man paid for abortion. At last minute, lady decided against abortion due to many in the past and kept married man's money. Married man got mad. Now lady wants to know how to tell married man's wife so lady, married man, and unborn baby can be a family..

My problem with this letter is the feeble mind of that lady.

Why do woman go after married men? I think I know. Women see something they want. They see a man taking care of his family and handling his business. The lady in the letter even used as an excuse: He 'claims' he loves his wife, but he slept with me. How can he love his wife but sleep with me?

There are so many, excuse the harshness, stupid females in the world.. Even though I am a female and I admit to falling a few times, women think with their emotions. It seems as if realism goes out the window once a man's 'piece' is involved. They see the broad, fine body and their brain turns to mush.

Although, I am a female, I don't really understand females. Hell, I don't even understand myself...lol

Even though I don't understand females, I understand the game... Yes, game. Being in a relationship is strictly a game. It's all on how you play that determines your faith...

My blog... Love vs Hate talks about the game.. [I created this blog weeks ago but I wasn't entirely sure what I wanted to include in it.. Now I know..]

OK.. This is starting to bother me..

It's the whole OJ thing.. They are advertising this man's faults like its a circus.. I just clicked to yahoo.com and on the main page was breaking news that says: OJ Simpson will be sentenced to atleast 6 years..

Who the hell cares? Are we related? Am I sleeping with him? Does he owe me money? NOO!!! So why should I care about how many years he gets.

It doesn't matter if OJ gets six years or life, I will still be at work Monday morning. I will be eating my same foods, wearing my same clothes, and driving my same car so OJ's jail sentence does not affect me.

The trip part is that I believe that part of the world thinks that they are making up for lost time or something.. Thanks to Johnny and the glove not fitting, OJ got off. A LOT of America was pissed, but yet.. oh yet, the world went on. But now 10-20 years later, OJ stupid tail went try to rob and kidnap somebody.. [I'm not sure exactly what but I heard his own house or something].. and now the dude is facing life..

Ok, I can understand that some of the world feels that he is finally getting justice, especially Nicole's family but do I really need to be kept in the loop. Having news site broadcast 'Breaking News' just to alert me about OJ's trial is not necessary.

Let the man be..

I'll be dawg.. Just as I am proofing this to get ready to send.. A man who works in the office next to mine just screamed.. 'OJ is going to prison'.. It took everything inside of me not to scream 'SO!!!'.. I mean, really, is it that big of a deal?? UGH!!

Times are Rough...

I just read an article that said in November there was over 500 thousand layoffs across the U.S. That is the highest since the 1970s....

I can believe it though cause my boyfriend just got laid off. He can't report back to work until the 1st, but that's dependent on if he even still have a job by then.

Times are rough. I just heard that ATT will lay off over 15 thousand workers. Times are definitely rough..

The BIG car companies... I am not sure why they are considered BIG. I mean, there are only like 2 car manufacturers in the U.S... GM and Ford. What about them makes them BIG? Big profit? No. Big sales? No. So what is it? Why are they considered BIG? But anywhooo..

Those BIG ones are claiming that if they don't get the auto bailout that they will go bankrupt. At least that is what GM is screaming.. My question is: Will cars be cheap? Cause I need/want another one.

But on the real though.. I am not going to be stupid. Cars could go to $10k and I wouldn't.. wait.. That's a lie. If an nice car's price drops to $10k, I may HAVE to buy me a new car.. So backtrack... If cars go cheap [ not $10k cheap, but just cheaper], I will not be that fool to buy one.

The economy is rough.. Yeah gas is down, but food is way up and electricity is more up than that.. I will not be the one to buy the new car and then the following month have the repo man banging at my door. I will just stick with my lil Pontie until Obama straighten things out...lol

Christmas Time is HERE.. YAY!!

I LOVE Christmas time.

Steve Harvey and the Morning Show played their first Christmas song about 3 weeks ago. I was riding in my car going to work and 'This Christmas' by Donnie Hathaway came over the speakers.

For me, that song goes off. I just love me some Donnie. So let's just say when that song comes on, my car be swerving....lol I probably look like a fool dancing hard in my car as I'm driving, but I don't care... IT'S CHRISTMAS!!!

I don't know what it is about a Christmas song but every time I hear one, a smile about the size of the Mississippi River spreads across my face. It's just something about Christmas that gets my blood a-pumping..

I'm in the Christmas spirit...

So ENJOY!!

It's Time to Play H-I- Private Eye...

Firstly, my prayers goes out to Jennifer Hudson and her family..

The day before my birthday a tragedy happened in her life that is unexplainable in words. I can not attempt to put myself in her shoes but I pray that all blessings goes her way.

Now..

I just read a news article online that stated that Julia was with William the day of the shooting. William, as the article reported, was upset that Julia was dating another man. I am not sure how his mood was or what words shared but Julia and William left together. Just to add, Julia and William was together at Julia's and Jennifer's mother house.

It was not stated if the mother, brother, and child was there at the time.

So, Julia and William left together. Hours later, William returned back to the home, without Julia, and later on that day the bodies was found.

Some things does not make sense. Julia knew that she was with William that day. Julia also knew that William was mad and could have did 'anything'. Why didn't Julia say anything?

It was not Julia who mentioned that she was with William, but a neighbor that saw them together...

William had to had said something to Julia. Something must have been said to alert her of the future.

Why when William returned, Julia was not there? How long after did Williams return?

Why was Julia not consoling her sister after the deaths? Why was Julia on MySpace and partying with friends after the death?

Now, I am not trying to say anything.. I am only asking questions..

It just seems odd to me that Julia would not mention that her and William was together that day. William was upset cause of her dating adventures.. It seems to me that Julia should have told someone. William's attitude must have demonstrated something. He must have said something. But why didn't Julia say anything?

I just pray that this case is solved and that the remaining Hudson family remain blessed..

Love Songs

I LOVE love songs. There are not a lot of love songs out now, though. They just make me smile and it reminds me of all of my past loves. Although me and those from the past are not together, that does not eliminate the good times.. AND love songs reminds me of what I have...

This song, Sweetest Love by Robin Thicke, is one of the best.

When it comes that time for me to walk down the aisle, my bridemaids will walk down the aisle to this song.. I will cut some parts out though cause even though it is a good song, I don't think the chorus have the right tempo to walk down the aisle on..

But either way.. I love it..

I also LOVE Justin Timberlake's song 'All Over Again'...

I remember back when me and my ex was going through problems... At the time, I thought it was my fault [silly me...lol] But all I used to ask for was for one more chance to make things right...

I thought at one time, I watched the video but maybe not. Either way, here is the song [not the video.. just a whole bunch of pictures]..

Umm.... Black President??

Lately, I have been reading and hearing a lot of stuff about Obama and the victory that Blacks faced when Obama was elected..

Many people will go hard and say that Obama is Black.. no ifs, ands, or buts about it.. Now, I am not here to down any one's opinion or lesser another's views. I am here to simply voice my opinion.

In my opinion, Obama is not Black. Yes, I voted for Obama. I did not vote for him because of the color of his skin. In fact, at one point, I was not going to vote for him. I voted for him because McCain was the worst candidate. McCain's personality and choices made him lose a vote with me. And, although, I don't agree with everything that Obama stands for, I do agree more with him than McCain.

But back to it.. Obama skin color had no influence on my vote.

But there are some Americans who voted for Obama simply for his skin color. In my opinion, Obama is not Black. He have a white mother and an African father; of which, the later was not influential in his life. He was raised by his white grandmother. Although, Obama skin was a lil darker, he grew up in white society.

Plus, I am just going to through this out here, but his name also raises a couple of questions with me.. His middle name is Hussein.. I know of one other Hussein... Sadam.. And we all know what he did. His last name... Obama.. Is pretty close to Osama.... And we all know what he did.. And just to mention.. Was Osama or Hussein Black??

But enough with that tyrant...

Everyone is going hard with Obama because he is Black, but Obama have went against a couple of Blacks. He went against Bernie Mac when he did his stand up in a majority white filled room and he went against his ex-Pastor.

Also I have not been all up in Obama's mouth so I don't know every word that he spoke, but have he ever classified himself as Black verbally? Have he ever said, in some words, 'I am a Black man'? To me, in my opinion, him classifying himself as Black would be an insult to his grandmother that raised him.

Now I am not saying that Obama is not part Black, but most people are putting a lot of emphasis on his skin color when in fact.. It is not even the whole case...

But these are only my opinions...

Reality Romance --

Is it real? OR Strictly for TV??

I am sitting up here watching Real Chance of Love. ... I completely forgot that yesterday was Monday so I missed it last night. On my way to work this morning, out of no where, I thought 'Crap, I missed Real Chance at Love'...lol So now, I am watching it online.. But anywhoo..

I have a sick addiction to this show. Although, I don't think the girls are as exploited or as disrespected as they were on Flavor of Love, it is not my fantasy to be one of them. Even though, Real and Chance have their flaws...

Speaking of.. Congrats Real for the hair deal.. Um.. I think he signed on as a model for Black N Lovely or maybe Soft N Beautiful. I can't really remember which one but ... Congrats.. That fool does have some good hair. Have me jealous.. He better not let me catch him slipping cause I may just be behind him with some scissors, a wig cap, and some glue.. Ready...lol

Back to it, they have their flaws and, of course, I see some problems with the show but, to me, I don't think that the show is real... Strictly for the money...

One thing that bothers me though is the kissing... I mean, just plain nasty. Chance would kiss Cali, then five seconds later kiss Risky, then kiss the next one and the next one. That is gross. I would never kiss behind a man right behind a chick like that..

I remember when I first found out that my ex-boyfriend was cheating on me.... I was so grossed out.. I mean I could just picture him kissing her then me.. I just had to throw up in my mouth...two times... *thinking about it* UGH!!! But on the real, that is really disgusting..

But I can't understand why all these girls are kissing them men like that..

And then, some of their personalities are sickening.. Take MILF for example. Well, for one, she is old. Me, personally, would not date anyone more than 4 years older than me.. Another thing, she lost her child and have all of these sob stories.. Now I have sympathy for her losing her baby. Everyone have a story and since I am not in it, I will not judge.. But why would a man want someone like that cause she seems so uneducated... Thinking about it.. Most of the girls on the show seem so uneducated.

Maybe it is a criteria or something:
Uneducated females wanted in reality dating show. Experience in back-to-back kissing is a must.

Why would a man want a female that would kiss him after only a few days? Why would a man want a woman that would wear a sexy outfit with the sole intention of getting him hard after only a few days? Why would a man want a female that would curse and fight another person? Why would a man want a female that would claim love after only knowing him for 3 days and of those 3 days have only spent 24 hours combined with him? Why would a man want women that would go out to find love on a dating reality show?

Why are men looking for Ms.Right Now and not Ms. Right anymore?

It makes me think... Am I doing something wrong? Should I be online hard looking for the next dating opportunity? [I have a boyfriend that I love so I never would, but still].. Should females forget being educated, sophisticated, mature, and financially stable and should they just act a fool on TV for some attention [It worked for New York...lol]?

Although I am talking all of this, I watch Real Chance of Love faithfully every Monday [well excluding yesterday].. So I guess the producers are doing something right.. Gotta make money some way, I guess....lol

Ooh... Thanksgiving!!!

Yes, the BIG day is tomorrow.. Thanksgiving Day.. The day to be thankful for all good and to feel blessed for overcoming all bad..

This year, I have a lot to be thankful for....

In April, I moved back to Louisiana from Missouri.. Missouri have lots of good [St Louis, the bomb outlet mall within driving distance, and challenges.. yes even challenges are good]... and, unfortunately, Missouri also had lots of bad [thus the move].. but I will not focus on those.. I am truly thankful for where I am now.. I am surrounded by family and friends who are truly a blessing. God brought me to where I am today. Even though the year started off rough, I made it through and I am still pursuing...

I am also thankful for my current job. From January to March of this year [ and the whole 2007], I worked at a company called Leggett and Platt as an electrical engineer.. I loved the opportunities the job offered, but still I was lacking.. From May to August, I worked at a company called Nerjyzed as a game programmer. I loved the work aspects, but the move from MO to LA also brought a HUGE pay decrease and with the current economy and my 50 mile commute my pockets was often dry..lol But now.. Oh now.. I am employed as a software programmer with the LA Dept of Justice... Everything is just about right. So I am truly thankful that God opened this door for me. 'There is good awaiting for everyone, just keep living'...

I am thankful for my boyfriend.. Yes, he have his faults [so do I] but he is the greatest and I truly love him.. Last year, my love life was close to hell.. I had a boyfriend who cheated, cheated, and cheated again. I was truly in the dark, but now I can smile. That bad relationship opened my eyes to good.. 'No one is exempt from bad, so when bad presents itself you MUST rejoice because that means that good is in store for you' I like to say 'you must go through the bad to get to the good'...

Umm.. this year... I am also thankful for opportunities.. Although it have only been about 330 days, I have learned A LOT. I feel that I have truly evolved. God is not done with me yet.. I know He have a purpose for my life so I will keep living...

Actually, I am thankful for a lot of stuff.. I am alive.. I am breathing.. I can smile.. I have a sane mind..

It's crazy, but I never really sat back and thought about all of my good things.. Why must Thanksgiving be the day that I declare my thanks? What about the other 364 days? I guess because it is declared 'Thanks'giving so it just stands out like that.. Who knows..

But I am truly thankful for all things and people God have blessed me with..

Also, I am thankful for all the people who have smiled at me. A simple smile and 'hi' goes a long way. Even the conversations that I have in the elevator are fulfilling. It's the little things that have the biggest value..

Ooh.. Somebody in my office.. JUST.. emailed this to everyone so I thought I would share.. [It's a lil blurry so... here are the words... 'It could be that the purpose of your life is to only serve as a warning to others']

I will try not to go on and on.. But I told something similar to this to my boyfriend about a couple of weeks ago.. Everything happens for a reason. Some stuff happens to you solely to be a blessing to others so just because something bad happens to you, don't pout.. REJOICE!!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!

I bust your windows out your car....

Jazmine Sullivan is the girl. Her song 'Bust Your Windows' is definitely the business.. For all those who haven't seen the video, check it out below...

Anywho... Her song and video brought back some painful/humorous memories for me..

But first, about the vid - At first, I was like 'Yo, Jaz.. Why not ask the dude first? I mean, your dude could just be trifling and those panties could have been there since before ya'll hooked up' But then she mentioned 5 years and I was like 'Do ya thang'...lol

Jazmine is the female, for real. A lot of chicks just take that bs from the dude and cry about it later. Home girl took action and I most def respect that..

Watching that video brought back some memories that I buried a year ago...

I was talking to this dude. More so 'friends' for the majority. Towards the end, we/I did the 'relationship' thing and that is when all mess hit the fan. I found out ole' dude had about two others and a new son [that he failed to mention... ever] Needless to say, I got even..

I aired all of his business out on MySpace [personal, sexual, the works] and added everyone within 50 miles of his hometown as a friend... Yeah, like Jazmine says 'You might say that it was juvenile, but I think that I deserved to smile'..

And that I did.... Every once in a while, I think back to that day and get a nice lil laugh...

Ahh... memories....

BCFx: Doug Williams Edition

I am so excited that the new version of BCFx is coming out for Bayou Classic.

Since I had a hand in making the game, I know an awful lot about it. BCFx stands for Black College Football Experience. It is centered around the football game and the bands of HBCUs [Historically Black Colleges and Universities]...

Being a HBCU Alumni and a current grad student of one, I am overly excited..

The game will be featured during the Bayiou Classic. On the 28th [the night of the Battle of the Bands], Nerjyzed [that's the people who develops the game] will promote the game. That event will start at 9pm and last until midnight. Passer-byers will be able to 'experience' and pruchase the game. [I, for one, will be purchasing]..

The game features the best soundtrack in the land. Those who love going to SWAC football games and those who love to sit by the band will love this game. The game features sounds of real bands and there is also a Jukebox module that allows you to listen to the songs outside of the game.

My fav part of the game is the DRUMLINE minigame. Using drums [the same that can be used for Rock Band], players can actually participate in the drumline and can enjoy playing the drums to their favorite songs..

Oh and let's not forget the highlight of the game... FOOTBALL -- Classic mode, Season mode, etc.. FOOTBALL, FOOTBALL, FOOTBALL!!!!!

Want more specifics, check out http://www.nerjyzed.com/

BCFx: Doug Williams Edition is, in my opinion, the top game of the season.

My mom, however, does not think so. She has some rare/want-to-forget memories of Doug Williams. My mom graduated from Grambling the same year Doug did. I'm not going to go into details but my mom is NOT Doug's biggest fan...lol

So if you are in the area... Go check out Nerjyzed at the Bayou Classic.. They will also hold a BCFx Sideline Show during the Bayou Classic game..

Be there or be bored....lol

GO JAGS!!

WTH???

Basically, WTH??

Ok, I'm watching The Game.. And they threw me for a freaking loop.. What the hell is up with Melanie??

At the beginning of the season, Melanie was down for Derwin. But because a freaking bump came in the road, she hopped in bed with her supervisor.

I am not sure what the writers are trying to do, but the whole side-ho personality of Melanie is so cheap.. She used to have values now she is bragging on sleeping with 4 guys in one year. Girl, that is so cheap and not cute..

The Game better step it up, because they are about to lose another viewer..

RECAP:
Ok.. That first part was written before the show actually went off.. Since I seen the whole show.....

I am COMPLETELY disappointed. Melanie pretty much told Derwin.. 'I will f** you on Tuesdays and Thursdays and every other day I can f** whoever but you can check in on those days when I am available'.. And Derwin pretty much said... 'Yessa messa'.....lol I won'tbe surprised if Derwin goes back to Janea.

It is obvious the Derwin loves Melanie. Yes, he messed up in the first season. But in the second season he realized his faults and fought for Melanie, literally. And now, even in the third season, he loves and is willing to act like a freaking wimp just to be with her..

But Melanie, on the other hand, is a straight up whore.. I mean, really... She is bouncing from man to man. She ran to Derwin's door and once things got hard she hopped in bed with her freaking supervisor. All these girls always act surprise when they find out that they is a side-whore.. It is no freaking surprise. And now Melanie is trying to play both Derwin, a man who loves her dearly, and her hot in the pants supervisor.

For one thing, Melanie is weak.. She knew Derwin was about to have a baby at the beginning of the season so why is she acting up now..

I am disappointed with the writers. I doubt that I will run to the TV on Fridays like I used to.

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

With Christmas steadily approaching [less than 30 days away], I'd thought this would be a good time to start my wish list.

Even at 25, I, too, have wishes. Christmas is NOT just for children.

Side note: Before I start to seem selfish, let me add.... My favorite time of the year is Christmas time because it is one of the few times when everyone is joyous and kind. Everyone is warmth with a smile and family and friends are always an arms length away. This year for Christmas, I plan to adopt an Elderly. It is a program that I mentioned to my church. The plan is to befriend an elder, cook them a feast [meal], take part in an activity or go on an outing, then on Christmas Day give them a surprise [gift].

Ok.. Since I made it clear that I am NOT all about the presents... Let me continue...

My Wish List:

  1. XBOX 360.. Although I just brought me a Wii in June, I want a 360. My main reason for wanting it is my past employer.. I worked for a company called Nerjyzed. They are the producers of a game called 'BCFx: the Doug Williams Edition' and 'BCFX: the Black College Experience'. BCFX came out this time last year and the Doug Williams Edition will come out this year for Bayou Classic .. [YAY!! Go Jags! I will be all up in that dome...lol] Since I had part in making the game, I know majority of the aspects. Even though I am female and not really a football watcher, I actually like BCFx. It is not 'just' about the football.. There is this cool halftime mini game that lets you take part in the half time show. If games are not really your forte, you can also view halftime shows. [The line-up and steps can actually be found on real fields].. Another great aspect is the soundtrack.. It features the sounds of REAL bands. NOTE: If you love going to black college football games, then you will love BCFx. It have all the favorite tunes of most of the HBCUs. Now my FAV part of the game is the Drumline game. You can use the drum sets from Rock Band to play the drums. It is similar to the scenes in Drumline [the movie] when they play the drums. You actually are on the drum line playing the drums to the beat. I'm probably not giving the drumline portion enough justice, but, in my opinion, it is the GREATEST!!! So I have to have BCFx... And honestly speaking... I am only buying a XBOX 360 because the Nerjyzed games is only sold for the 360. Now if I am willing to buy a whole console just for a game, it must really be a good game. And this is coming from a girl who really doesn't like football.. Check it out.. http://www.nerjyzed.com/
  2. This sort of goes with No.1 but Rock Band 2. I never played 1, but the excitement have reeled me in....lol
  3. The Sims 3!!!!! To ALL who live under a rock and who never had a chance to play Sims... IT IS THE GREATEST!!! I have been on Sims since 2001. The Sims 3, however, tops any Sims that came out already and Sims 2 was the business.. Sims 3 is due out in January, but I already pre-ordered mines last month.. Can't wait for that to come out.. Check it out at http://thesims3.ea.com/
  4. A digital camera.. I have one now, but it sucks...... Back in October 2006, I was on a trip in California.. I left my digital camera in my rental car and never seen my beloved camera since. About two months after I planned a trip to New York [yeah 2006 was my year....lol] and needed a camera so at the time I brought a camera that I thought was good.. NOT!! Turns out.. it was nothing compared to my old camera so now I am looking for a replacement.. Specifically: Nikon - 12.9-Mega pixel Digital SLR Camera - Black Model: D90
  5. A Laptop... My current one is falling apart so I am in desperate need for another one. Wal Mart had a sale on laptops 2 weekends ago and, like a fool, I was in line a lil before 8am. I waited and waited until they said that they was sold out. I disappointedly drove back home. Now the search is on for a new one. I don't have one in mind. It just have to be very portable [smaller than 15" screen]... My new laptop will be strictly for my writing so all of that other stuff doesn't really matter cause I won't download or install anything on it [except for Word]..
  6. Sims Computer.. Yes, maybe crazy but I need a computer just for my new Sims 3. Did I mention that it is coming out in January?? I am so excited....lol For that computer, I need a quad core processor in order to handle my game.. Everything else HAVE to match the Sims specifications...

That's about it.. Nothing too major.. Just a few things... I will try to slip this letter in Santa's mailbox soon. After that, I will just make sure that I am good cause I refuse to get coal this year..... again.... lol Just playing...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!

Life Choices;;

This morning, I have been in some heavy soul/mind thoughts.. It has gotten to the point where I couldn't even concentrate on my work so I had to blog about it to hopefully get it off of my mind...

Everyone makes like choices and decisions. Some of those choices or decisions would be considered right and some would be considered wrong [based on one's own opinion].. Doesn't matter the choice, it is that person's choice.

Who on this earth can judge another person? Everyone was born a sinner. Knowing and unknowingly, everyone makes wrong decisions or choices. No one is exempt from displeasure or wrongness. The point is that classifying wrong or right is an opinion. No one on this earth is perfect so no one can throw the first stone...

I tell my boyfriend all the time ... 'Don't throw stones cause they hurt coming back.' Meaning, don't judge someone else situation because once the spotlight is on you, your faults and wrongs will come out.

I try not to judge some one's situation because like my friend's dad always say.. 'Everyone have a story'. Everyone does things for a reason so unless you lived their reason you don't know their story.

My philosophy is to just do me.. If I think what someone did was wrong, I will never blast them about it because I don't know their reasons behind it.. I would, however, make sure that I don't do that wrong.

I can't change someone nor judge... I can only handle me.

So as long as I am right in my eyes, then I am right to me...

Vick-less

About a year now.. the NFL have been Michael Vick -less......

That whole situation still puzzles me and even now I must still ask 'Was it really that serious?'

I just read an article [well not just.. more like 3 day ago, but still] that said that Michael Vick is making close to 12 cent an hour. 12 cents an hour? I mean, really. Who can live off of that? True, he is in jail and most likely won't be buying any dogs anytime soon, but 12 cents. That's like an inch worth of gas.

Here is a man who was making millions this time two years ago. He probably was planning his vacations, deciding on some new business ventures, and probably had a lot of endorsement deals lined up. But today.. *shaking my head* His major decision is deciding how to pick up the soap without bending over..
[Ok, ok.. jokey joke time over...lol]

On the real though.. All of that over some dogs...

When I was living in Missouri, I seen advertisements everyday about Cock fights. That's when you pay to see chickens fight.

Are chickens not animals too? Does chickens not deserve the same respect as dogs? Why is it that a man can fight chicken but not dogs? Hmmm... Conspiracy much??

Still Michael Vick is in my prayers. I just hope he saves that 12 cents an hour cause I doubt when he get out he will have a prosperous football career. It is just a shame that it had to end that way cause he was in his prime and was a beast on the field.

How much is TOO much??

Alright.. I consider myself to be a nice person. I try to help those as much as I can but how much help is too much help??

My senior year in college I worked in my university's Career Services office. There was one lady who worked there who used to always ask me for computer assistance. Either it was creating a document in MS Office or helping her with email tasks. I didn't mind helping her cause it was usually something easy and never really time consuming.

After graduation, I moved up north. Even with the distance, she still called time to time wanting help. Again, I helped cause it wasn't really a big deal. As time went on, she started emailing me documents that she was doing for work with the hopes that I would fix her problem then email it back to her. Again, it only happened at the most five times and the problems usually consisted of adding a watermark or doing columns, etc so I helped her out..

It have been 2 years since I graduated and the lady is still asking me for help. Today took the cake.

She was doing some type of online test. I'm guessing to get MS Office certified or something. Anyways... The test consisted of questions in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and she called me during every portion. Again, the stuff was easily explainable, so I helped.... up until the 6th phone call. It got to the point, where I was on the phone for minutes as she read each question line by line and then I guided her through the steps. I kept doing it thinking that the current question that she was reading was the last one, but, to my dismay, I would always hear 'Ok, the next one'..

I mean, seriously, why do people sign up to do something that they can't do. That is like a person applying to be a pilot but never stepping foot on a plane. So why would she apply for a position or take a test of that nature knowing that she will need constant help.

I don't mind helping people, but how much is too much..

The trip part is that I am at work.. [I know, I know.. Blogging at work, a BIG No-No. But in my defense... All day, everyday, I sit in front of this computer and design web-based applications. It is IMPOSSIBLE for me to actually work my whole time here and not go crazy.. Yes, I get my work done, but I would go insane if I HAD to look at this code for 8 hours straight. So the Internet is my only source of sanity.. But back to the blog....]

Like I was saying.. I am at work. So for approximately 30 minutes [with breaks] I had my cell phone glued to my ear as passer-byers heard 'Click on this', 'Go there' and 'Wait, what?'

Okay that last one came after my aggravation sat in. There was many times when I just stopped listening so after I snapped back I had to give my cue... 'What?'...lol

Maybe it was wrong, but after the 100th question, I gave a lame excuse to get off the phone... Imagine me actually having a meeting a work.. If she would have left the help with the first three phone calls then 'cool', but she kept calling.... and kept calling..

To top it off.. I didn't even get a 'hey' or anything.. Just a 'I need your help'.. The nerve..

Judges have a say-so in the naming of Black babies

Clip taken from The People's News

After Judge Cabrera’s historic ruling, little Clitoria Jackson will likely undergo a name change.

“It’s so hard to keep coming up with something unique,” said Uneeqqi Jenkins, 22, an African-American mother of seven who survives on public assistance. Her children are named Daryl, Q’Antity, Uhlleejsha, Cray-Ig, Fellisittee, Tay’Sh’awn and Day’Shawndra.

In a decision that’s expected to send shockwaves through the African-American community—and yet, give much relief to teachers everywhere—a federal judge ruled today that black women no longer have independent naming rights for their children.

The rule applies to all black women, but Cabrera singled out impoverished mothers. His ruling stemmed from a lawsuit brought by a 13-year-old girl whose mother created her name using Incan hieroglyphics.

------

I'll be the first to say that this is just wrong, but, painfully to say, sometimes needed.

Don't name your baby girl Clitoria, people. I mean really.. That is too close to clitoris. People just need to think about the lifespan of baby names.. If your child was President, would you want the name Clitoris plastered across the screen.

Just a tip: If you won't be comfortable calling a 50 year old successful executive that name, then please don't call your baby that either.. Oh and naming babies after body parts is OUT!!!

The Pregnant Man

This topic popped up a few months ago and as quickly as I found out about it, I forgot about it. But recently, I just read that the pregnant man is pregnant again....

Scanning the Internet, I ran across this quote:

"We are a man, woman and child. It's ironic that we are so different but yet,
we're just a family, just the same as anyone else," he said.

I find a couple of things wrong with that statement. Thomas, formerly Tracy, Beatie said '....We're just a family, just the same as anyone else.' I find that statement to be false. The man in every one's else family was not born a woman. The man in every one's family did not go through hormonal changes to make themselves a 'legal' man. The Beatie family is NOT the same as anyone else.

I find a couple of things old with their situation..

[1] Tracy was not happy with her life so she decided to change into a man. So basically she did not want to be a woman anymore. She was attracted to woman and, in my opinion, 'thought' that it would make her situation a lil more 'correct' if she played the part as a man. So time passed, she met a woman, fell in love, then got married. Although Tracy didn't want to be a woman anymore, she still wanted to partake in the joy that only women share by birthing a child. That is the mark of a confused young lady.

[2] Nancy, Tracy's wife, doesn't consider herself a homosexual. Tracy was born a female. She have the mindset of a female thus she is a female. It doesn't matter what Tracy did with the government or doctors, she is still a woman. Plus, just to put it out there, I don't think that Tracy have a piece down there. So, they are either dry humping or using a lesbian's friend. Either way, Tracy and Nancy are both lesbians.

[3] Tracy thinks that she is actually a man. That is the problem with the world today. People think that they can be God or change things that God made. Just because you don't like who you are and just because you took some pills and signed some papers that does not magically make you a man.. Maybe she feels that because she likes women that she must have been wrongly gendercized.

[4] They consider themselves a 'normal' family and will raise their children to think that transgenders and homosexuals are okay. More and more homosexuals and transgenders are birthing and adopting babies, so more and more babies are being taught the mindset that homosexuals and transgenders are right. After a while, the world may start to think that heterosexuals are the wrong ones.

I do have one question though.. How will they explain Thomas' baby pictures to their daughter? Thomas was a woman up until a few years ago. All of his baby pictures are of him as a female.. That poor girl might grow up thinking that she will grow up to be a man just like her dad-mom.

KKK

The Ku Klux Klan -- *shaking my head in disgust*

Well, the KKK is in effect. On my drive to work this morning, a local radio station was discussing an event that happened this past weekend. A lady from Oklahoma drove down to Louisiana to be initiated into the KKK.

The plan was:
The lady gets initiated then go back to Oklahoma to recruit more members.

Was it a successful? NO!!!
As it turns out, the lady wanted to back out of the initiation process during the initiation but the KKKs was not letting that happen. That lady was then shot in the head. As a means to cover up the crime, the KKK members took the bullet out of the lady's head, then dropped her in a nearby canal. The KKK members even went to a local gas station and asked the attendant for 'the best way to get blood out of clothes'.. H-I-Larious.. [Not the killing part, but just their inquisitive nature].... All members involved are in custody on $500k bond.

I live in Southern Louisiana and, per the radio, I found out that there are at least 5 chapters of KKK within a 100 mile radius of my house. Through the US, there are over 500 chapters with over 8,000 members.

I think that all KKK members are ignorant and cowards. For all KKK members that are reading, you are ignorant and a coward.

Like I always said, time and time again, racism still exists but it is more undercover. There are laws the frown upon racism so anyone who participates in any acts will be held to lawful consequences. Those racists knows that if they perform outward acts that their freewill will be over.. That is why the KKK members hide behind their white sheets.

It is just a shame that things have to happen so boldy in order for people to actually see it...

I, for one, am not afraid of the KKK. I am not afraid of ignorance and I KNOW that GOD is protecting me.

Martin ---

Martiiinnnnn --- One of the funniest shows of all time.

I'm a member of Blockbuster so for the last two months, Martin: DVD Set have been on the top of my queue list. I have laughed, laughed, and laughed some more. I grew up on Martin, but when the show was on I was only about 12.. So some of the jokes and episodes went straight over my head. But now, I can't stop laughing.

I'm only on the second season and third disc, but I have already nagged my top 10. Topping that list is the episode when Martin proposed to Gina.

Like some men, Martin was scared to settle down. He took it as far to say that Gina was trying to trap him. It was not until one of Stan's poker buddies dropped some wisdom.

"A young fool grows up to be an old fool."

'So true' I thought as I just sat and shook my head. A lot of young 'players' live their lives thinking that it is cool to bounce from one female after another but once they get older they are left standing alone.

I must admit when Martin finally proposed right to Gina, I shed a tear.

It started off as a semi-sketch... First Pam skipped her self over with that crazy British accent talking about 'Flowers for the lady'... I was rolling. Then Cole, poor Cole, walked over, after being called three times, and started having convo with Gina. It was funny when Cole started reading the script then Martin asked him if he drunk some of the wine. I tell you, Cole helps make the show. Then Tommy, walked up, blah blah blah. Nothing really too funny with that scene except at the end he told Martin that he needed to bring his girlfriend to the bathroom cause Gina was jumping up and down... And my favorite part....

Martin had the most serious face on and he stared Gina in the eyes as Brian McKnight started singing.. At that moment is when I started thinking...

Love is a wonderful thing. Don't get me wrong, it is very confusing, but.. a wonderful thing. When you find that special someone things just fit. All dark clouds fade away and rainy days turn clear. Being in love is the one thing that can't be faked. Some tries to imitate it, but only real love shines. When you love someone, everything else disappears. Everything is right, real, and true...

Love, experienced correctly, is a very wonderful thing..

Blacks vs Gays

I was doing my daily Yahoo! News search when I ran across an
article about how Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake was both performing, separately, at a Madonna concert.
At the end of the article, Britney was quoted as saying:

"I am the luckiest girl in the world," she said, "but am sad because African-Americans are equal finally, but gay marriage is not."

Two things came across odd in that statement: [1] Why is she the luckiest girl in the world? Is it because people saw her past behavior as a promotional stunt and now they are congratulating her for wearing no underwear, shaving her head, and losing custody of her children? [2] Why are African Americans and gays compared in such a manner?

For one thing, being gay is a sin. Now that may come across offensive to some, but that is how I feel and how I was raised. In the Bible, it mentions man and woman. NOT man and man or woman and woman. Being gay is not a right and being granted equal marital rights is definitely not a right.

However, being respected and thought upon as equal is a right. No race on this earth is better than any other race. Racism is still alive and strong. Because of ignorance, Blacks have been degraded and looked down upon just based on the color of their skin.

But being gay is a choice. No one is born gay and if someone says otherwise then they are a lie. A person chooses which gender they prefers.

Blacks and gays should not be compared in such a manner.

I, for one, am against gay marriages and the fact that people are actually comparing the equality of blacks.... [Just to point out, just because Obama was elected that does not mean that Blacks are magically equal].... to the fact that gay marriages are banned is immoral.

Just thinking about it, it makes me outraged. How can African Americans' equality be compared to gays' equality. African American is a race of people. African Americans are people just as a white person is a person. The equality of African Americans should not be looked as the same of gays.

It is funny because a lot of people probably thinks this way. A lot of people probably compares the result of the election to the result of Proposition 8. In my opinion, thinking this way proves that African Americans are not really equal. In fact, it is belittling. People probably look at the equality of African Americans just as they look at gay marriages. Well that was made evident by Britney's quote.

Obama is fighting for change, but unless he first targets the mindset of Americans, he have a fight ahead of him...

Whitney Houston's new CD set for 2008 release

Clip taken from omg! Yahoo
Whitney Houston will release her first album of original material since 2002 later this year, BMG Label Group chairman/CEO Clive Davis said Thursday.
Four songs have been completed for the as-yet-untitled project, and four more will be put to tape later this month, Davis said during Billboard's Music & Money Symposium at New York's St. Regis Hotel.
"We're on track for a holiday release," he said. "We're not going to compromise who she is to fit into today's hip-hop radio market. The public wants Whitney material."
Tracks earmarked for the album have been produced or written by Black Eyed Peas singer will.i.am, producer/songwriter Sean Garrett and R&B singer Akon.
Houston, 44, has been dogged in recent years by drug and health issues -- including rehab stints in 2004 and 2005 -- a legal dispute with her father, John Houston, rumored financial problems and a troubled marriage to fellow singer Bobby Brown that ended in divorce.
Her last album, "Just Whitney," debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 in December 2002, and quickly slipped down the rankings. It was her first release since 1998's "My Love Is Your Love."

Dreams CAN come TRUE!!

I'm a member of Tyler Perry's mailing group, so every once in a while he sends out words of encouragement or just an up to date message detailing his latest ventures. His latest one touched my heart..

It can be read here => http://www.tylerperry.com/_Messages/ (It's the message from 10/16}

His message talked about dreams. He mentioned how people's dreams can easily become a distant memory after worry and fear.

I, like many other individuals, have a dream. I dream to one day become a successful author. I want to touch people with my words.

The day I seen his message, I had just received a rejection letter from one of my queries. It just so happened that the day I got the letter, the message also appeared in my inbox but the message was supposed to had been sent about 3 days prior to me actually getting it...

I saw that as a I sign.. to NOT give up..

Everyone have a dream and something to work towards but, consequently, everyone also have aspects whose sole purpose is to destroy that dream. Whether those aspects be a rejection letter, a negative thought, or an non supportive family member or friend, they are out to make you stop dreaming.

Whatever you are dreaming, whatever you are hoping.. Don't give up. If the approach that you are taking is not working, then try another approach. If you come across an obstacle, go around it. Do whatever you have to do to make your dream a reality.

"Everything will try to knock you down, but only you can keep you down"
Dream DOES come TRUE so KEEP DREAMING!!!

Inter-Office Drama

I love The Office [NBC Thursday nights 8pm (central)]... I can't really remember when I started watching it [maybe 1 year ago] but I have been hooked ever since..

The Office follows the inter office romances, disagreements, humor, and side lives of the employees in the Dunden Mifflin Scranton Branch. It pretty much mimics real-life offices.. [Not mine cause software programmers really doesn't have that much fun, but I'm sure some others somewhere] The manager is Michael Scott. What can I say about Michael? He is a load full. He have to be the only boss I know that doesn't worry about work productivity. It would not be a day in the Scranton office if Michael didn't stall productivity with a party, non-work related meeting, funny/lame joke, or activity.

This is the fifth season on The Office and since season one a lot have happened. One of the biggest shockers is that Michael is a "baby daddy". Well, not really. His ex-girlfriend, Jan, which is also his ex-boss got pregnant by a sperm donor while she was still in a relationship with Michael. As it turns out because of her age, "she only had one shot to get it right" so she didn't want to take a chance on Michael being her baby's daddy and screawing the baby up. Michael found out about the baby 7 months into the pregnancy. After some thought, Michael decided to be the "baby's daddy".

On last night's show of The Office, Michael wanted to have a baby shower for Jan's "unborn" child. He gathered Phylis and Angela, the party planning committee, and asked them to throw the best baby shower ever. To every one's surprise, when Jan showed up she was not pregnant, but instead pushing a new born baby in the carrier-stroller. Jan had the baby and did not even inform Michael, the "baby daddy".

That level of disrespect leads to my point. Sure this is a TV show, but still....

Ok, Michael and Jan was dating for months [over a year]. She insulted him and pretty much took advantage of him every chance that she got. Michael had to work two jobs in order to keep Jan in her lifestyle after she was fired from Dunden Mifflin. They broke up after Jan's public act of disrespect towards Michael. Seven months later, after all that transpired, Michael was still there for Jan and even offered to be the "baby's daddy" Still after all of that Jan completely disrespected Michael again by having the baby and not even telling him. Michael was there through all of the lamaze classes but because Jan's birthing coach said that Michael shouldn't be there she cut him out of the delivery. The worst part is that she didn't have any intention of alerting Michael. She could have told him about the baby immediately following the delivery. She could have told him right before her release from the hospital. She could have at least told him once her and the baby made it home. But instead, she let Michael find out the same time as everyone else in the office...

TV show or not, that is totally over the line. Because I am female that will never happen to me [Since the baby will be coming out of me.. duh] but I am definitely not going to do that to a man either. A baby can only be born once. If you miss that moment, that is it. It will never come around again and you won't be able to make it up. It doesn't matter how I feel about the man, if he wants to be my "baby's daddy" then, by George, he will be there for the birth. No ifs, ands, or buts about it...

Election {Part 2}

It have been proven that Obama is a good candidate. He holds his own and have never, not once, displayed any stereotypical African-American behavior.

So it seems as if the election is already over and that there is no doubt that Obama will be president.

BUT....

What if Obama doesn't win? What if, despite of all the polls, surveys, debates, etc, McCain wins?

I predict a relapse into 1992. Obama is definitely the right candidate and all African Americans knows that so if Obama does not win, a repeat of the LA Riots of 1992 will definitely be a thing to fear. Except, instead of LA, it will be USA.

But honestly, I see some bad things happening regardless.. Racism is definitely still in effect. It is just that in today's time racist acts are not showcased cause there were a few laws that have been passed that deliver judicial consequences to those that exhibit such behavior. So obviously, unless you want to lose everything, you will keep all racist behavior on the hush. So just because racism is not evident, that doesn't mean that it doesn't exist.

With all that said, if Obama does win I still see a relapse but this time into the early 1900s. Some of society will not be able to handle Obama as president; especially those still segregated communities. That have been proven by all of the racial remarks and peripheral that have been brought to light since the election started..

But only time will tell...

Election 2008

Now since this is a sensitive subject, I will state this now:
What is found below is ONLY my opinion. NO sources was used to create this post. NONE are facts, but strictly opinions..

Since that is over with....

Election 2008

I have pretty much kept my mouth shut on this election cause I am torn. I have voiced my opinions in the past, but due to the content I have been fused at, scolded, and numerous other things.

Yes, I am a black female but I do not feel obligated to vote for Obama. I will not now, nor ever, vote for someone based on the color of their skin. Race is just that 'race'. It is not the definition of one's character nor is it the basis in which they stand. Their race is simply noted as the color of their skin and, for some, the qualities of their culture.

For this particular election, however, it is evident that Obama is the right choice regardless of skin color.

Deep down, I think that a conspiracy is going on within this election. Look at McCain and Palin. McCain is old as dirt and seems to have the personality of those back in 'those' days. [Ignorant, self-centered, unaware, etc] He is not voicing any facts and most of his plan will weaken the economy. Plus, he is proven to be a complete waste of space at the debates. Palin have a questionable history, little political experience, and have twisted views of the facts. Her family is all but pure. [If you can't control your family, you definitely won't control the country] From my point of view, McCain and Palin seems to be the worst candidates thus far. By why? Why now, when an African American is running that the candidates on the Republican ticket are complete jokes?

Now, I am not the most politically correct person in the world, but up until now I have never heard of Obama, McCain, Biden, or Palin. Why is now, during this election, the first time I have heard of any of them?

Is this a conspiracy in disguise? Did the Republican party purposely pick bad candidates, just so an African American could be in office? Some twenty years back, Jesse Jackson tried to run for office, but was denied. This society have not changed that much in twenty years so why now is an African American welcomed?

True, Obama is a good candidate. He is well-spoken, up-to-date on the economy's troubles, have plans that will generate results, and have a loving family. From all eyes looking in, he is the best man for the job. I will never deny Obama's capabilities because I see them myself. My point is why is Obama the only one on the ticket that could be considered a good candidate?

Why did the Republicans choose McCain and Palin? Why?

Media Gossip--

Every morning I alternate between two local radios stations during my commute to work; the Steve Harvey Morning Show, which airs on Q93, and the Wake Up Syndicate, which airs on MAX 94.1.

While listening to MAX 94.1, I caught the daily gossip segment. Their topic of choice was the list that Neyo supposedly made to diss other entertainment artists. I'm guessing they get someone their info from this site called Media Take Out cause most times they speak verbatim off the website..

Anyways... One item on "Neyo's list" was a statement about Chris Brown. Neyo is reported to have said that during a run in with Chris Brown, Chris smelled musty. Neyo was then reported to have brought it to Chris's attention, Chris then responded with 'My bad, dawg' and the matter was dropped.

The radio djs on MAX 94.1 made a BIG deal about it. They started making comments about Chris' hygiene habit then just blew the whole matter out of proportion.

Everyone in this world have been musty a time of two.

Who knows what Chris was doing before his run in with Neyo. Chris is known to dance a lot. He is constantly moving. So a person on the move will naturally become musty after a period of time. Maybe Chris was on his way home to take a shower. Maybe Chris just got done dancing.

My point is... It is no big deal but the media blew it way out of proportion. Things that happen in celebrity lives happen to EVERYONE..

Well I take it back. Not everything cause I know for a fact I do not live in a mansion, have tens of cars parked in my driveway, have millions in the bank, and have the world bowing at my feet. So not everything that happens in celebrities lives, but the normal life stuff....

So what if Chris was musty. Let him be musty. So because of the advertising from the media everyone will be talking about Chris' body odors..

The media gossip is getting way out of hand. Most things that are promoted on the radio really should stay behind closed doors.

I feel the media is only out to make fun. They never say reasons or even try to clarify the matter. The media's first and only thought is to find out the juicy details in hopes of adding humor to it.

Why must society strive on this? Why must society listen to the media gossip?

Employee Termination

About five weeks ago, I put in my notice of resignation at my last job.

Just like many other people in the midst of this recession, my paycheck was an issue, not to mention the price of gas for my 50 mile commute each day. So, of course, I left for a better paying job.

Like asked, I gave a notice of resignation. However, due to personal reasons, my resignation was only a week instead of two.

I ended my tenure with my old company with high marks. There was no hard feelings or negative expressions. Or so I thought.

Since my last day was in the middle of a pay period, I had to wait a week before I got my last check. That was understandable so I had no problem with that. The week that I was supposed to get my check Gustav came, so because of his effects I didn't get my check until a week after that. Because I opted to get my last check mailed, that caused an additional waiting period. So total, my last check came approximately three weeks after my last day of work. I had no problem with that either because 'things happen'.

What I did have a problem with was after I deposited my two-week late check, it was returned due to insufficient funds. Imagine my surprise, a week after I deposited the check, when I tried to withdraw money and was told that I couldn't because of insufficient funds.

Immediately, identity theft filled my mind cause I knew I deposited a check a week ago and I also knew that I had not had any charges or withdrawals since then. As the bank teller was going through my transactions, I started to get anxious. All the while, I was thinking 'Is this really happening to me', but then the truth came out.

I was not a victim of identity theft, as I suspected, but instead a victim of employee termination.

I called my old job in hopes of getting an explanation but instead I got the run around. It seems as if everyone was 'off' that day. I have been known to have a temper, so I waited a while before making that first call. The first time I called, no answer. The second time still no answer. Since my temper was still cool, I thought 'Maybe it was a mistake, so I will just call back on Monday', considering how it was a Friday afternoon. But somewhere between the bank and my current job, my temper came back. It may have been triggered by two unanswered phone calls and a car ride full of thought.

I picked up my phone, this time full of rage, and dialed the company's number once again. I got an answer that time. I asked to speak to the lady over payroll. [Since it is a small company, one lady handles human resources, payroll, and all business development] She was not there, but I was not going to let that phase me. I asked to speak to anyone that could help me regarding a returned check. I was then transferred to another lady who told me that I could expect my check the following week during the regular pay period's checks disbursement. I ended the phone conversation, but not before mentioning the added fees that I expected to be included in the check. She agreed.

The following week, I called about my check and was told that the CEO had not signed them yet, but I will be able to pick it up the next midday.

The day came when I could finally pick up my check. To my dismay, the fees was not added. I was even given the story that the check was returned cause they thought that they paid me for two weeks. I believe that that story was in effort to hide that fact that they wrote a bad check because any little research would have shown that I was only paid for one week.

It have been one week and a few days since I picked up my check. I still have not received the check that would take care of my fees. The same check that was promised to me a week ago.

However, I did receive another check in the mail; the returned check from my last job that the bank sent. It was, indeed, returned due to insufficient funds and the account number on that check differed from the account number of the new check.

Was it sabotage? Was it an accident? Or was I just a victim of employee termination??
