To Tucker Carlson:

This goes out to Conservative FOX News commentator Tucker Carlson..

First, I'll start with your 'I'm a Christian. I've made mistakes myself. I believe fervently in second chances.' bit. You are a hypocrite. You say you believe in second chances yet you say Vick should be executed for killing dogs?? What have you done?

Have you cheated? If so, someone you deeply love and who you gave your whole heart to should cheat on you.

Have you stole from somebody? If so, someone should steal something that you value with all of your heart.

Have you lied? If so, someone should lie to you and break your heart.

Have you falsely accused someone? If so, someone should falsely accuse you of murder and you should rot in jail for the rest of your life.

What have you done? Whatever it was, it should be done back to you..

I'm so sick of the Vick and dogs situation. That man fought dogs. SO THE HELL WHAT!!!

What about the people who purposely run over squirrels? Should they be executed to?

What about the people who cock fight? Should those hicks be executed as well?

I mean, dang. A black man fight some dogs and people feel he should be executed. White people fight dogs as well. So Vick held an illegal dog fighting ring. Those who holds one legally (and they do exist), should their hobby be ignored?

Get off of Vick's jock already.

And just to point out.. It's freaking dogs. Was Vick the only one in the building? Was Vick the only one involved?

Oh.. And if you are so much a Christian, why do you think someone should be executed? What have you done that deserved execution? How would you feel if someone said you should be executed for a mistake you made?

Geez, people in this world trip me out. Who is so perfect that they can say who deserves execution? Who is so perfect that they can pass judgement? Who is so perfect that they can comment on another's transgressions?

Tucker Carlson, you better look in the mirror before you open your mouth again because IGNORANCE does not look good on anyone..

It ALL Must Come to an END

There is this thing called 'The Cycle of Life' - you are born, you live, then you die.

No one and I mean NO ONE can escape the cycle. Regardless if conceived through in-vitro fertilization, artifical insemination, or by natural conception, everyone on this planet is born. The facts if whether born to two parents of the opposite sex or the same sex or if born to one parent, even if that parent was once male (with this crazy society), doesn't even matter. EVERYONE IS BORN!!

Every single person born on this planet lives. Whether they lived for 1 second or 100 years doesn't matter. EVERYONE LIVES!!

Science research gives people the option to do many things. Some can live with HIV/AIDS. Some can live with cancer. Some can freeze some cells and extend their life. Some can go green and also extend their life. Unfornately, there is nothing that exists now and nothing that will be "created" in the future that will eliminate death. EVERYONE WILL DIE!!

Every life that a person is born into comes to an end. Those facts doesn't matter. What matters is what happens during life.

Don't let life pass you by.. Every good thing must come to an end... Unfornately, so does life..

Live like everyday is your last before your last becomes today..
GOD BLESS!!!

Self Image

So... I'm watching the most recent episode of ANTM Cycle 15.. It's the one when the girls have to film a commerical while on roller blades.. I feel so sorry for Ann..

Insecurities is a beast.

She is a very nice girl. Yeah, she has big eyes, but hell my eyes are big and hers look rather beautiful in pictures. And yeah she's tall, but so what.. I've always been the short one so everyone looks tall to me...lol But regardless, no matter what people say about her she is human, is one this earth, and should not be ridiculed because of her uniqueness.

Everytime I hear about people who have been bullied, I get upset. I never really been bullied when I was young. I mean, I'm sure I was teased - like who wasn't.. I don't recall, however, every being chased down the street by a bully or being pressured out my lunch money but I think those images are exaggerated by the media.. But then, if it does exists, I would in no way want to belittle another person's experience.

I feel that people bully other people because they are insecure.

I find it heart-wrecking that a person's self-image is controlled by anothers insecurities.

Love All Over Me

I can only speak from what I hear in the media but to me Monica is living a different sermon than she is preaching.. A while ago, I remember Monica saying something about love and family and her boys and all of that. But Monica seems to be a lil flousy.

Even though she is not in the spotlight like other celebrities or dating high profile celebrities, her choices are similar to her lifestyle - low grade.

Currently, Monica is linked to a basketball player. I don't know his name but he is in Monica's 'Love All Over Me' video. It's been reported that they are engaged. Just before him, Monica was engaged to someone else. And before that man, she was engaged to someone else.

Since its an engagement, I can only assume that her boys has met the men that put rings on her finger. Exactly, how many men does Monica plan on parading in front of her sons. Now, I won't sit up here and type that children only turn out OK if two parents are in the home. I also won't sit up here and type that children turn out better if only one main male and one main female is in the child's life but come on... I feel that if a child is introduced to too many males/females as their live-in parent's "friend", boyfriend, fiance, etc that it will cause problems. Those children will not know anything about a stable home or a stable relationship.

If I am ever asked 'why is this world the way it is now', I would respond with one word 'parents'..

The Scott Sisters

This was just brought to my attention. Before now, I have never heard of the Scott sisters or a rally in their benefit.

Basically, the two sisters was involved in a armed robbery which yielded $11. Their actual involvement is questionable. There were three other men involved who were all given plea deals in which they only served 10 months in prison. The Scott sisters were not offered a deal and was sentenced to two life sentences among the two of them. The judge who sentenced them is known as a racist judge in Mississippi. This crime happen on Christmas Eve in 1993. Three years later, an attorney unfamiliar with the case took the case with no positive results. 15 years later, the Scott sisters are still in prison and one is suffering with kidney problems.

I have a few questions: [1] Why is this just coming to light now? [2] If both sisters had no prior criminal record, why was such a harsh sentence enforced? [3] Why weren't they given a deal? [4] What vital information is being left out?

I strongly believe that racism exist but this is ridiculous. A life sentence for stealing $11 with no injury? Of course, robbery is wrong and threatening someone with a gun is wrong but people who have done similar things have served no where near life in prison. However, I don't feel the Scott sisters should look like the victims. People just can't randomly accuse someone of something and those people can't go through a trial being completely innocent. They had some involvement in the crime, even if it was to just drive the getaway car or be the lookout.

Another question I have is why is every option being overturned? Motions were sent to the Supreme Court and they have been overturned. Applications have been submitted and they have all been denied. Why? Why are government officials ignoring this case?

There have to be more to this story than what is actually reported. But even so, serving a life sentence for armed robbery of $11 is absurd. If justice deserve to be done, I hope it is done quickly..

When Doing Right is Wrong

So, just speaking real... My boss is stealing time..

I want to tell his boss SO BADLY, yet everyone is saying to mind my business. WTH?!?! I guess you can call me a nosey snoop because I know for a fact that he is stealing time.

My co-workers and I are considered salary-exempt. All should know what it means but basically we don't get paid overtime yet our time is calculated hourly. Instead of getting paid overtime, we get overtime time also known as leave time. My employer also does everything on a 15 minute interval so if your scheduled time to arrive is 8AM and if you arrive between 7:45 and 8:15AM you are considered on time and gets paid as if you arrived at 8AM. However, if you arrive after 8:15AM, you are considered late and must use a 30 minute leave because it is as if you arrive at 8:30AM. That leave time could also be used towards taking whole days off, in which one day is equal to 8 hours of leave.

SN: We actually work a 7 and a half hour day so really if you take a day off they are using an extra 30 minute leave. So where I work its better to at least show up for work and leave early than it is to just not show up at all.. But anyways..

The same leave is used when leaving early. So the leave that is used when arriving late or leaving early adds up. However, if you make it to work at 8:30 but say you made it in at 8, you are actually stealing double time because you didn't use the 30 minute leave that you supposed to had used, you gained 30 minutes of work time, and you gained additional leave time off of the 30 minutes you said you was at work.

In a way, my boss is doing that. Our children goes to the same daycare so I basically know, at least part of time, when he arrives to work. Even though, I am scheduled to report to work 30 minutes after him I try to aim to arrive to work at the 7:45 mark {see above example} because doing so I can leave at 4:15 instead of 4:30 while still working 7.5 hours. So even though our schedules should be 30 minutes off, I aim to be early and he aims to be late so we usually meet up in the middle at daycare.

Well today, I arrived to daycare somewhat on time, but stayed a little longer than I usually do so I wound at leaving at approximately 7:30. I know this for a fact because I looked at my car clock which read 7:41 [My clock is 10 minutes early. I don't know why I even bother setting it early because when I look at it I automatically subtract 10 minutes anyways.. But anywhoo]. When I was pulling off, he was taking his step-son out of his truck. I drove to work but sort of lagged driving to work, getting out the car, and walking into the building so I clocked in at 7:57. I guess he zoomed to work because he walked into the office around 8.

Since he have stole time in the past, as soon as he walked in I checked to see what time he clocked in and SURE ENOUGH it said 7:30AM..

I'm just not sure how he does it.. With our clock in system, you can edit your time. However, in the database it shows the time you actually clocked in and your edited time. His time only shows 7:30AM. He can remote in from his computer at home, but for him to be at daycare at 7:30, he can't possibly remote in and clock in at 7:30. It is possible his wife could have clocked him in at 7:30 or he could have a program that automatically clocks him in at a certain time..

Long story short, he is stealing time, I want to tell SO BAD but everyone is telling me to mind my business.. Not to sound like a child but IT'S NOT FAIR. When I'm late, I use a leave. When others are late, they use a leave. It's not right that he can just get away with it because I must mind my business.

ARGH!!!

I guess in this case, doing the right then is wrong because he is getting ahead and getting more time off and I am not..

Single Motherhood

I can not imagine being a single mother.. Forget the financial responsibility that goes into it.. My philosophy is "if one did it, I can too" so handling that aspect wouldn't be a problem..

My problem would be emotional detactment.

Because that female is a single mother, that also means that there is a father somewhere. Unless that father is a complete deadbeat, he would want to see that child. Because the father and mother are not together, the father will see the child without the mother. That is what I can't imagine doing.

I LOVE my son.. He is the best little boy in the whole wide world. I can't imagine being away from him.. He is 14 months and I have only been away from him for about 7 days his whole life. For 2 days, he stayed by my parents during the Thanksgiving holidays.. [Me and my husband both had to work Monday and Tuesday so Sunday and Monday night he was gone.... sniff, sniff.. But trying to save money on daycare cause it is a BEAST!! LOL] Then right before the Christmas holidays, he caught a bad cold and couldn't go to daycare so Monday and Tuesday I stayed home with him and Wednesday I went to work.. [Hubby had to work all three days as well]. And then... A week after Mardi Gras, I caught the flu and then, unfornately, so did my hubby.. So Friday to Tuesday, my son was with my parents..

So other than those 7 days, my son has been in my face and I in his..

Single mothers have to go through days and sometimes weeks at a time without seeing their child. At least when my son is away, I can still call every other second just to check on him but depending on the single parents' relationship with each other the mother may just have to 'hope' that the child is okay..

*sigh*

All White TV

I realized that lately a lot of my posts have been racial but that is because a lot of racial things are going on..

So, I'm cruising the Internet, looking for something to pass my time, when I remembered I missed Project Runway last week.. As always, I go to www.mylifetime.com and Project Runway's latest episode is not available. [I think it could be my computer since a lot of stuff is blocked on this CPU but I'm still blaming Lifetime.. :) ]

The picture for the latest episode shows all the contestants. It's no surprise that all the remaining contestants are white. Reality show history [well decent reality show history....

...
If you look at VH1's line-up for shows such as Flavor of Love, Real Chance of Love, Ocho Cinco: Ultimate Catch, I Love New York, etc the casts are majority black. Yet, if you look at reality shows such as Apprentice, Big Brother, Project Runway, Design Star, etc the casts are majority white with always one black contestant...

At one time, I wanted to be on Big Brother [the 30 page application sort of turned me off...lol] and I know more than one Black person wants to be on those shows, yet only one is cast every season.

Just FOOD FOR THOUGHT!!
...

....] shows that Blacks are rarely casted and among the first voted off so seeing the all white remaining contestants is quite the norm so I wasn't really bothered by it... It wasn't until I clicked on 'Shows' and noticed that there was not one black face on that page.. Then I decided to click on the Homepage. There was not one black face on the Homepage either.

Obviously, Black people exists in this world, so why are they hidden on TV??

Check out www.MTV.com, www.CBS.com, and www.NBC.com. My guess is you can count the number of Blacks you see on one hand.. And that's adding them up from all three sites..

America is quite pitiful..

New Love

So.. Not even a year ago, Jesse James was accused of cheating on his wife. During that time, he confessed his crime and his love but now he has a new flame..

WTH??

People are really starting to bother me.. How can you be married to someone for so many years, cheat, and then turn around and love someone else? For one thing, love is not controlled by a push button switch. You can't love one day and not the other. You also can't proclaim to be in deep love one day then have no problems jumping in bed with someone else the next day.

The way people throw love and marriage around is sickening. I guess I watch the soaps too much..

Young and the Restless is the worse. One day two people can be madly in love and the next they are in bed with someone else claiming to now love them. Celebrities and roles on TV make falling in love a joke.

I just wish that one day love could actually be showcased in a positive light without the criticism and ridicule.

LGBT vs Blacks

Sooo.. I just read that the LGBT fight for gay marriage can be closely compared to, if not deemed the same as, the Black community's right for equal rights.

Sorry to break the news to all LGBT supporters but using the Black civil rights fight as your vehicle is wrong and unethical.

The Black community was robbed of their civil rights. People with low self-esteem and low self-worth decided that, as a means of uplifting themselves, they would take Blacks hostage and make them slaves thus ripping them of their civil rights and independence.

Being in a LGBT community is a choice. Just to be clear, I have nothing against a LGBT. It's just that this fight for what they feel is theirs is starting to aggravate me. Demanding the right to have a gay marriage is just like demanding the right to drive your car after you just wrecked it. Being in a man on man relationship or woman on woman relationship is a sin.

The government decided to bring politics into marriage. Marriage is not a legal union, or at least is should not be. Marriage is the union of two individuals under God. The government, being the greedy bastards that they are [lol], decided "hey, let's make money off of what God created"..

In my opinion, if the LGBT community wants to share in the benefits of being legally married then their official title should be 'legal partners'. That way they can share all the benefits that those legally joined can receive [filing joint taxes, etc]. However, LGBTs can not get married. Under God, they can not be called Man and Man or Woman and Woman and they can not say that they are married. Instead they are legal partners.

I just feel that a sin can not be justified as right. Being married is a gift granted from God.

And because I'm on the subject.. Common-Law marriage is also wrong. Just because you shacked up for an 'x' number of years that doesn't mean that you are married. As stated before, a marriage is an union before God. If you can't stand before a preacher and say your 'I Dos' before God, then married is NOT what you are.

It's Official

Well, it's official - Sherri has been cancelled. All links have been removed from Lifetime's website.

Needless to say, I LOVED that show but that was made evident by DVR full of recorded shows. 'Lifetime, Lifetime, Lifetime' I say while shaking my head 'BIG MISTAKE'.

I don't even see why the show was cancelled. It had a great cast [I must say, I didn't find a flaw in any character - which is odd for a new TV show] and the story line was not predictable. Plus, Sherri was actually funny. I don't want the View nor have I seen any of her stand-up routines so I am unfamiliar to her work but I was pleased.

The show was one that I ran to the TV for and Lifetime ruined it.

This is just another case of the 'Get Rid of the Blacks' epidemic that white people are trying to contaminate the world with.

There are so many white shows that SUCKS! There are so many black shows that DOESN'T SUCK. Yet, the white shows stays on the air while the black shows are cancelled.

I, for one, is tired of this white and black crap. I mean, really. When is it going to end? Every time I turn around another good black show is being cancelled.

I must give credit to some blacks in the entertainment industry - they are bringing blacks back to Primetime..

Y&R - Stupidity

Well, I thought I detoxed off of Young and the Restless but obviously I was wrong.

I recently started watching it again after a year and a half hiatus. Returning, I am even more aggravated than before I left.

This thing with Sharon, Nick, and Phyllis is getting on my nerves. It's obvious that Nick still loves Sharon - I mean, come on! The stuff he does and says to Sharon is so disrespectful to Phyllis. What's funny is that soaps does not have memories. It seems as if everyone forgot that Nick and Sharon was once married and that Phyllis stormed in like the black plague. No one ever mentions that Phyllis used to be the other woman. It's funny, though, how Phyllis is watching it happen. She is pretty much watching her husband love another woman. And another crazy thing, Phyllis is the only one who sees the love connection. Everyone else acts like everything is normal. To top it off though, Nick cheated on Phyllis with Sharon and still everyone thinks all is peachy.

My thoughts...

Just my thoughts on those three teachers from Los Angeles picking OJ Simpson, RuPaul, and Dennis Rodman as role models for their Black History parade.

I'm torn.. On one hand, no one can judge.. By telling kids that RuPaul, OJ, and Dennis can't be heroes because of their past is just like saying that once you do something wrong you are considered an outcast. However, those teachers picked 3 individuals who have led checkered lives. To me, Black History Month is a time to honor African American individuals for their fight, dedication, perservance, and hardwork. I can think of numerous African Americans who would be considered a role model or hero, whether by society, parents, etc.

I just think those 3 teachers made a poor choice.

I would actually like to know their motives for choosing those 3 individuals. Perhaps, they wanted to show children that inspite of wrong doings, hang ups, or set backs, everyone can still have a chance to be a hero. Or they may have wanted to send the message that regardless of labels placed on a person by society, everyone is a hero in some shape or form which makes it easier for a child to accomplish things because then they would not have the pressure of being perfect riding on their backs. ... See More

However, those teachers could have just picked the first 3 Black people that came to mind just to fulfill an assignment placed on them by the Superintendent.

It also wasn't mentioned but maybe the children could have suggested those 3 individuals and the teachers were simply letting the students express themselves..

Long story short.. I'm torn..

Tool Academy

Well, Season 3 is on.. I watched Season 1 but for many reasons - that I can't seem to remember - I skipped over Season 2.

From what I can remember, Season 1 was not as disrespectful as Season 3. Season 3 contains the most ignorant individuals - can't say men since females are part of the tools as well - I ever seen in my life. Majority of the tools confessed to cheating on their mate and some of them laughed at the situation like it's funny.

There is even a married couple. The tool takes off his wedding ring every time he goes somewhere - can't really remember the place - so his wife suspects he is cheating. However, the married tool did not confess to his cheating so that is still up in the air.

Like past seasons, the tools are loud, obnoxious, and an embarrassment to the human species.

But this post is not the judge the tools or rate their situation; this post is to talk about the whole concept of the show.

Some comments from the tool's mates includes: 'He doesn't respect me', 'He acts like he doesn't care about me', and 'I think he is cheating on me'. I'm like WTH!!! You are not in a relationship. It is stupid for the mate to bring their tool to the show because, in my opinion, there is nothing to fight for.

I mean really.. Some of them people on that show is embarrassing themselves.

Like this one man, Kyle, who is so in love with this female who appears to be illiterate and bipolar. The girl talks over herself and most times makes no sense. This one dude -forgot his name but he is the dude with the long hair - also appears to be illiterate and filled with animal juice. The list goes on.

I am still confused on why these females -and in Kyle's case, males - waste their time on these tools. It is obvious that the tool does not respect them or care about them so why waste your time and bring them on the show?

I tell you.. Love is a fool. Love makes the smartest person go straight stupid. That's why unless it is returned, love can be considered a dangerous weapon. People have died due to love and have killed due to love.

There is also this one dude on the house who is about to quit cause he feels he doesn't need Tool Academy. He is a wrestler and have sex with a different lady each day just so his package does not stick out of spee-do.. But actually, I think he is running cause he got beat by a girl.. lol LOSER!!!

Long story short, Tool Academy is a waste of time and the sooner these tool's mates realize it the better....

Avoidance Much??

OK.. Not sure what to think of this but will blog anyways..

So, I'm at work.. During lunch, I close my office door - sort of as a means of blocking out this work environment. Well.. At 1:01PM, I get an email saying I have a message.

The message had an one-liner and was sent from someone whose office is no more than 10 feet from mine.

At first, I thought nothing about it. So, what? My office door was closed so send an email.. But then, I started thinking...

BACKGROUND: We have this application at work where you select the recipient's name from a drop down list, enter you message, press 'send', and it is automatically delivers the message via email to the recipient.

Well, the man who sent it passed by my office just as I was opening my door and just as I received the email. You mean to tell me, he thought it was easier to send an email which takes about a minute than to tell me in person which would have taken less time.

Long story short.. I think he intentionally was trying to not talk to me..

In the past, I have spoken to this man and he would give me the driest 'hey' I ever heard in my life. At first, I considered it to be a race thing, but there is [well, was.. He quit 2 weeks ago] another Black dude and he seems 'ok' with him.. So then I thought it was a gender thing. He may just be afraid of girls. Sounds a lil crazy, but there are still some grown men that are scared of females. But lately I have ruled that out as well cause this man is just too dang rude.

About 4 months ago, I had to give a software demonstration in a room that needed a projector. Well, like the other 2 times, I went to him directly and told him what I needed. Well, RIGHT after I was done talking and left out his office, he went to the Senior Programmer and asked HIM if I knew about the application where you request things. After he went to him, they both came to my door and asked if I knew about the appl and how it worked.

Basically, I was appalled. I was just in this man's office and he decided to ask someone else about what I knew right after I left from his office.

So of course, I don't like him. I don't even speak to him anymore cause countless times I have spoken to him and got the dryness back so why should I even bother.

But basically, I do believe he is trying to avoid me. That is one of my main problems with working in this industry - a lot of these computer peeps are very rude and closed-in.

UGH!! My life...

Well had to vent.. Back to work...lol

A BLACK-less Hollywood

Its been a while, but here goes....

Oh - before I begin.. Happy 2010!!!!!!

Now, back to it...

I just caught wind of the issue from Vanity Fair which highlights the up and coming stars to look out for in Hollywood. Of those 0 are Black, 0 are Asian, 0 are Chinese, Japanese or any other cultural group, but ALL are white.

What message is Vanity fair trying to portray - might you ask...

Well, its simple.. They are letting the world know what to expect in Hollywood. This may come as a shock to some but the media has been dropping hints for years.

Let me break it down for you..

First, let me list the shows on TV now with a predominately Black cast... Here goes: Tyler Perry's House of Payne, Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns.... umm, umm, umm... Starting to draw a blank. Oh.. Not really sure if these can actually be included considering how they are reality shows, but seeing the low count of Black shows already -I'll include them.. Let's Talk About Pep and Fantasia For Real... Umm.. Umm.. This falls into that same reality category, but again I'll list it just to add to the number - HBO's Treme. I'll also include shows that are on the brisk of getting cancelled just for kicks.. The Brothers, Sherri, and the Wanda Sykes Show.

Well, final tally [after 20 minutes of searching online]... *drumroll please* ... 8... WOW!!

Now, just for comparison.. Let me list the shows on TV with a predominately White cast.. I present to you.. the TV Guide...

From the lists above, one can obviously tell that Blacks are very outnumbered in Hollywood. If you also compare salaries and the number of Blockbuster Hits, one can also conclude that Whites generate more big titles than Blacks...

So, yes, it is easy to fault Vanity Fair and throw racial accusations their way but, just speaking real, they were working with what they were presented. Sure, seeing how their issue talked about the upcoming stars and not necessarily the upcoming shows, more non-Whites could have been listed but .. Hey.. Can't expect the media to change??

Why are Blacks not represented on TV?? I honestly don't know.

A lot of Blacks watch TV but not enough are fighting for more Blacks to be on TV. Many predominately Blacks shows does not make it because on those shows Blacks are portrayed as their stereotype dictates. That being said, Blacks won't watch it cause they feel it is degrading and Whites won't watch it cause they feel it is belittling to them.

Likewise there are a lot of high profile Black actors, actresses, and directors, but most are more concerned with the numbers of 0s on their check instead of the number of black faces on TV.

Basically more Blacks just need to outwardly care. A lot care to themselves and to their friends but until the voice of the Blacks hits the masses, things will never change.

I don't fault Vanity Fair.. I just think its sad...
