Pregnant Men --

UGH!!!!

I must reiterate.. WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO???

I just read an article about ANOTHER MAN being pregnant.. --Don't forget about that first pregnant 'man' that gave birth some time ago and is pregnant again-- I'm not sure what the media's agenda is but they need serious help. Is the entertainment industry that slow lately?? They are talking about the pregnant men like it is normal....

OK.. There is this 'man' in Spain.. NO, wait.. Let me put it clear.. In NON-MEDIA terms... There is this confused female in Spain who was attracted to females.. I guess, wanting to fit in with the normal, she woke up one morning and decided 'Hey, I want to be a man now'.. So she trotted to the doctor's office, pleaded her sob story and began turning her female body into a man's body..

SIDENOTE: Now I don't actually know what takes place to turn a female into a male. But I looked it up and in Spain, no procedure or surgery is actually needed to be classified a man. So for all I know the broad could have just shaved her head and called it a day...

RETURN--

So she decided to turn male. Time passed and then it dawned on her.. 'Wait, men can't have children.' So she trotted back to the doctor to start her menstrual cycle back up.. She never legally changed her gender because only females can get artificially inseminated - go figure.. [At least ONE thing in this world is still right] Within months, viola.. Yep, you guessed it.. She's pregnant. So now the broad is pregnant and is running to the nearest judge to legally be classified as a man... So by the time she gives birth, she will be considered a man...

This story is SO SAD!!! I feel so bad for ALL the people involved including the unborn child..

And the way the media is advertising the pregnant man, it is ridiculous... First, the gays, now the pregnant transgenders.. Someone needs to pass a law that says a transgender can't produce a child.. The same way someone passed the law that said the gays can't get married.. [Now I could have worded that a lil differently to not sound so insulting, but however it came out, IT IS THE TRUTH!!!] I bet 200 years ago, the people never thought that such laws would even be needed..

I am a Christian and the things going on in the world are just ridiculous...

I believe the end of the world is near.. Now, it could be seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, or even decades away, but it is near.. And with the current status of the economy, all should take note.. I am just waiting until the gov't take over banks.. It's coming close with all of the loans and stocks failing..

With all of this pregnant man stuff circulating...
I pray for this world everyday..

Online Racism???

It seems that lately the only news I know about is the news I read on the Internet.

I have a lot of things happening in the future [baby, wedding, house] so I am working overtime these next few days [maybe weeks, depends how I feel] to store some extra time. Where I work, we don't get paid overtime, instead we is given what is called 'k-time'. It is basically time off so for every hour I work overtime I get an hour and a half off..

Anywhoo.. I am always at work now [7 to 6] so I am on the computer A LOT. When I was working 8 to 4:30, I could barely concentrate on my work and dedicate my whole time to actual work so it is extremely hard now seeing how I added 2.5 hours to the mix. So of course, my down time at work has tripled [no math error..lol]...

During my 'free' time, I usually browse Yahoo! News for interesting stories or just handle some business for the baby, wedding, and house. I often looked at the local section to read about the dumb random acts of the people in my surroundings..

Now, I am not sure why, but it seems that all comments are centered around race. It doesn't matter the topic, race is ALWAYS involved. I've read comments regarding monkeys, 'those people', and a couple of times even ran across the word nigger.

I am no stranger to racism. I lived in Joplin, MO as one of the only black people so I am accustomed. But the measures that people take to put down another group is ridiculous.

Like, for example... I read an article which read EXACTLY: Mother leaves child in dumpster...

Having read that... Where is the racial stereotype? What is the notation that signifies race, culture, or heritage?

Last time I checked whites, blacks, asians, mexicans, chinese, japenese, etc could be mothers. But it seems as if I was the only one who didn't get the 'this post is about this race' memo. Around the third or so comment, the racial remarks start pouring in. Of course, all was negative and very stereotypical..

In my opinion, this world is full of racism and it is stemmed from the media. The media pegs different cultures and races and, unfortunately, society lives by them. Don't get me wrong, racism did not start from the media.. The media is simply the flame to the dark room.

As perceived from movies, music videos, etc blacks has an image. Whites has an image. Chinese has an image. And on and on and on.

It is just a shame that people takes that image and just runs with it. Children are growing up hearing those images and some grow up to be just like them. And others grow up to magnify those images.

This world is full of racism.

It's funny though.. The number of racist comments I read a day is nearly 10 times the amount of racist comments I hear in a day. Why are people hiding behind their computers? Honestly, those racist comments I read online everyday does not phase me because those people are cowards.

Maybe one day the world will get over the media and maybe one day it might be a place for everyone..

What is this world coming to??

I just read an article found here about an 18 year old boy who raped an 8-day old baby.

*Give me a moment while I gather myself*

I must admit, I had to read the title multiple times to fully grasp that someone raped an 8-day old BABY. Yes, a baby. Although grasped, I don't fully understand that concept.

What did he see in the baby? Me, being pregnant, prays for my unborn son everyday of my life.

I'm not sure what this world is coming to, but individuals should be scared.

There was an excuse for raping a person back in the day... 'They had it coming'. Well, did the baby have it coming? Did the 8-day old baby, who could not talk or walk, but instead simply drool, have it coming?

I'm not sure what possessed the boy to do that. In fact, I fear for his life..

**I feel a stone in my stomach every time I think of his actions..*

Usually, I write a few words or two about my thoughts on the matter posted, but this time I can't. My mind won't allow me to even analyze the situation because it is so demented..

So I will just leave this topic with... 'What is this world coming to?'

"I chose to be gay just as much as I chose to be Black"

This statement and the whole matter, for that point, is starting to aggravate me. I am getting tired of having this same old conversation.

Unfortunately, there are people in this world who see the fight of the 'LGBT'.. [My first time seeing this acronym was today. I initially read the article cause my first thoughts was 'WTH is a LGBT.. But I figured it out: lesbians, gays, bisexual, transgenders] as the same as the fight for Blacks..

That article that I read, the same one that quote was taking out of, was in Diversity, Inc. Diversity, Inc is a magazine that talks about diversity issues. I always had trouble with that magazine and if it had not been for my curiosity about the meaning of LGBT I would not had entertained that article.
I chose to be gay just as much as I chose to be Black.

There is an argument that people are born gay... I COMPLETELY DISAGREE!!! LGBTs use that as an excuse. It is not that a LGBT was born gay, it is that their upbringing influenced them to be gay and far as long as they remember they had LGBT thoughts. True, being Black is not a choice, but being LGBT IS!!!!

Me being a BLACK female LOVES my Black culture and heritage. I would not change anything about my lifestyle. Like the old cliche.. 'I'm black and I'm proud'.. Feeling that way, I see the above quote as insulting.. It is not right to compare an LGBT to a Black person.

For one thing, being Black is not something that a person can decide upon. Being Black is something deemed to a person by God. Just to quote another cliche.. 'Once you go Black, you never go back'.. On the other hand, being a LGBT is strictly a choice. A LGBT chose to be LGBT. A LGBT was NOT born that way. Their childhood influenced a LGBT to became a LGBT.

Those two can not and should not be compared. In fact, I am starting to get upset regarding the matter.

One of the main reasons why they should not be compared is because being a LGBT is a sin. It is not man and man, woman and woman, man and man or woman.. whichever is convenient at the time, or man and used to be man or woman and used to be woman. It is man and woman period.

PUSH PAUSE::

I want to take the time to add that I do not hate LGBTs. I respect them as humans. I feel so strongly on this matter because LGBTs are trying to right LGBT. LGBts are trying to get the world to see LGBTs are being right. LGBTs are trying to influence other people; thus the fight for human rights.

::CONTINUE

The problem with this world is that humans are always making excuses for themselves. Those excuses then lead to some mindsets claiming that once-wrongs are now right. Teenage pregnancy is not right, but yet it is becoming the norm. Children out of wedlock is not right, but yet it is becoming the norm.

I read an article today about the winner of Top Chef. The winner, who is a female, and her partner, who is also a female, are both expecting babies. The article wished all congratulations and led to the assumptions that it is okay to have two lesbians pregnant. I guess to better the situation, both ladies are pregnant by the same man. (blah)

Society trips me out sometimes and it amazes me how much cowards humans really are. Instead of seeing the error in their ways, they would rather make up an excuse to allow them to keep doing wrong..

Now, I am not perfect. In fact, NO WHERE near it. BUT I see the error in my ways. I don't go around getting the world so see things from my influence. I don't go around influencing people to do wrong just because I did them. I see all of my wrongs as mistakes that I will never [or atleast try not to] do again. I don't try to right my wrongs. I see my wrongs as wrongs and I learn from them.. So I am not trying to act perfect. I am simply stating how I feel on this matter..

21st Century...

Every morning, I search the web before starting work. I usually check out Dear Abby and see what problems people have wrote to her that day.

Today, something struck out like a hole in a new shirt...

Read excerpt below....

DEAR ABBY: My wife often returns home late from work. I am not worried
about where she is or what she's doing, but we have had numerous arguments about
the common courtesy of calling if she knows she's going to be late. I say if
she will be more than a few minutes past the expected time, she should call or
text me. She says that I know where she is, so it shouldn't be necessary. What
say you, Abby? -- HAD IT IN HAWAII

DEAR HAD IT: Your wife's actions show a lack of consideration for your
feelings. If she knows she will be late, she should contact you so you won't be
stuck sitting around with your blood sugar levels sinking, and you can arrange
to grab a snack or some dinner. And by the way, if she doesn't show up within 30
minutes of the expected time, nothing prevents you from calling her.

Now, I understand Dear Abby is a middle aged woman [maybe older] so her wifey duties may differ from mine. For those lost, I talking about her response. Mainly, this sentence...

If she knows she will be late, she should contact you so you won't be stuck
sitting around with your blood sugar levels sinking, and you can arrange to grab
a snack or some dinner.

From her response, Dear Abby makes it seems that the husband is sitting at home starving while the wife is out at work and that he can't put food in his mouth until the wife returns home to fix it.

I disagree with her response and her mindset. This is the 21st century. I don't feel that the woman's place is in the kitchen. I feel that if the man is hungry, then he should bring his tail in that kitchen and fix him something to eat. There is no reason for a man to wait at home, for who knows how long, doing nothing and expect his wife to make it home to cook.

I am getting married in a few months and me and my fiance already discussed those things. If I get home before him, then of course, I will make sure there is food prepared. But if he comes home before me and expects me to cook then many nights he will starve. Yes, I understand that a woman should make the house a home, but I refuse to be given a role.

Me and my fiance both work. The fact that he works longer hours than me is irrelevant. He choose his 10 hour job the same way I choose my 7.5 hour job. So me running home to make his food after working should not be determinant on the number of hours he works cause his shifts are his choosing.

I will take care of my fiance emotionally, physically, and all of the above but I refuse to babify him. If he comes home before me, then we agreed that he will make sure food is prepared. Now there will be days when I don't feel like cooking, so I may simply pick something up or I may decide on leftovers. He have those same options as well.

All in all, this is the 21st century and I don't think the female's place is in the kitchen so that is not where I plan on living..

SIDE NOTE: The man in the letter didn't mention his wife's role, so I can't fault him.

Umm.. Just some thoughts..

As usual, I went through my morning routine which consists of me checking my email, scanning a gossip site, then browsing Yahoo! News for some interesting articles.

I ran across a few ones. One about Brad Pitt's "Make It Right" campaign and his visit to D.C. yesterday to discuss the efforts in New Orleans.. I would like to get involved with a charity, but I want to do more than just 'make a donation'. So, I looked on his website, www.makeitrightnola.org, to see some of the volunteer tasks. Unfortunately, I was not able to read about volunteering, but instead donating. However, in the midst of my search, I became distracted by the houses, so volunteer information may be on there somewhere.

Simply put, the houses that he is building are interesting. Sure, the architecture is nice, but I can't see myself living in one of those homes. The floor plan is similar to that of a studio apartment, except the bedroom has four walls; so the living room, kitchen, and dining room has an open floor plan. Although, I really shouldn't critique charity, it would not be a floor plan or layout that I would choose for myself.. But that is beyond the point. I credit Brad for his efforts. Those houses will truly make a difference in the hurricane's victims lives. It was not clear on the website, though, if the houses would be given as gifts to Katrina victims or would each victim have to pay rent, or mortgage. But still his generosity is well noted.

---

I also ran across a video of Chris Brown in the court room. It never occurred to me until now, how 'privileged' celebrities and entertainers are. Chris Brown is 19 and is on trial for assault. He has also been convicted of two felonies. To me, that is not proper behavior or actions of a 19 year old, but somehow society does not see it as such. Yes, Chris Brown now has a record, but the fact that he is a 19 year old boy is ignored by society. After the trial is over, Chris will continue on with his life as if the last month never happened. As Chris was standing in that courtroom, to me, he looked un-phased. It was as if his present surroundings was 'no big deal'. Celebrity or not, a crime should be looked of as a crime. Of course, Chris should not had been up in there bo-hooing, but a lil emotion would have been nice.

If you actually think about, A LOT of celebrities end up in front of the judge, but somehow society always find a way to twist it.

Take R. Kelly. That man know he pee'd on that girl. Heck, I seen the tape. But yet, R. Kelly being on trial was looked upon as entertainment and not as justice being served.

T.I. will be locked up in a few days, but after this year, he will be back to his business.

Even though authorities make the claim that justice is served equally to all U.S. citizens.. I beg to differ.

When a person is sent before a judge or sentenced, to me, that person's life should change. In some shape or form, their mindset and persona should change. But it seems a celebrity views the justice system as 'just an event'.

All in all, celebrities are put on a pedestal, and I really don't understand why.

There are civil rights leaders or activists that can't even get a good following, but all some have to do is sing a song, dance a dance, or act a script and magically they are the new all-powerful.

Honestly, in the midst of the economic turmoils, I view the troubles with society to be just as bad..
